Anya Ivanova
Systems Biology · Lomonosov Moscow State University
Anya Ivanova is a PhD candidate in Systems Biology at Lomonosov Moscow State University, supervised by Prof. Mikhail Gelfand. Her thesis reconstructs metabolic network rewiring trajectories in Escherichia coli during stepwise acquisition of resistance to fluoroquinolones and carbapenems, using metabolomics, transcriptomics and flux balance analysis to identify vulnerabilities in resistant strains. Eight publications in PLoS Genetics and Nucleic Acids Research document her computational and experimental findings. Anya received a Skoltech postgraduate scholarship and participated in a visiting researcher programme at the Institut Pasteur in Paris. She has been recruited by a Russian biotech developing rapid antibiotic resistance diagnostics and has co-filed a patent on a metabolic biomarker panel for carbapenem resistance detection.
